172 Autochanger

A friend of mine has just got a new 172. He wants to change the head unit but keep the original 6 stack CD changer. Can this be done?? If so what makes of head unit should he be looking at?

Why does he want to change it?

Anyway, it is as Gaz says an Alpine unit. Its very similar to the 12cd unit I put in the RSi. I got an Alpine for that mainly because it was able to interface with the stalk control.

Do a search for this subject. I could be wrong but I think someone said that although it is an alpine unit it wont work with any other head unit even an alpine one.
