Should they have put a bulge on the bonnet of the 172 and cup (in a similar manner to the Williams / Valver)?

Should they have put a bulge on the bonnet of the 172 and cup (in a similar manner to the Williams / Valver)?

Anyone photshop one?
The 16V/Williams bonnet bulge was there to make room for the inlet manifold (already reduced in size from the 19 16V one) and to house the air vent. Most people think its an air intake, but its mainly there on the Clio to let the hot air escape - the water catcher/baffle on the inside of the bonnet prevents air going straight to the exhaust manifold.
