172 dash opinions

A while ago i brought a bottom part of the dash for a Mk2 Ph1 172 with the silver radio surround:

and now i have the blue top part of the dash

But how do i fill the gap for passenger airbag as my current one doesnt have it?

could just fibreglass the hole, and then take it the upholsterers for a nice retrim

Surely you can just fit your storage space part from the old into the new dash? Are those bumpers from a ex cup car?

yeah cup car bumpers, whole garage is full of parts lol, yeah was thinking about the old storage tray but the storage tray on the old dash is grey and is actually apart of the whole das and wont seperate

dremel the tray out, spray it silver to match the centrepiece and then resin it back into place?

sounds like a lot of work lol, was thinking about trying to get a passenger airbag, but then again the airbag wouldnt be much use as it wont be connected

exactly what I was gonna say, would be look great!! but as you said a lot of work.

surely you can get an airbag cover from renault and just stick that in their, must be able to buy the, to replace ones that have gone off.

how do you get all these parts mate!?

Not sure if they will sell it seperately or they might sell it as a whole thing with a new airbag, best give them a buzz!

Doesnt that plastic explode when the airbag goes off? I think it has a weak seam in the middle that rips in two pieces... that wunt be much use from a scrappy

thats the bit, has a weak point in the middle but hopefully you can buy them seperately....vinny give reno parts a ring.
