172 imports

Price isn't much different usualyl can tell import don't have etched glass (altough that can be fixed easily) no locking wheel nuts. Also the alarm either won't be fitted (there tow sesnros on the front door pillars and a flahin light by the dahs or it will work off a seperate fob. Although you could fit a normal one most don't.

Its for the Toll Card you put in your windscreen for the French Toll Roads.

Obviously, only if you live in France.

All imports sourced from within Europe are undersealed . I think your confusing imported cars from countries such as Japan which tend not to be undersealed from the factory due to their climate being less wet than Europe .

Only differences with imported 172's are no factory fitted alarm which is no big deal as the factory fitted cobra ones only have an 18 month warranty on them and they do go wrong from what i've heard , no locking wheel nuts and no etched windows .Other than that they are the same car as the UK sourced cars ,built in the same factory .I'm on my second import and i've saved a hell of alot of money opposed to buying from a Renault dealership :)

2 year warently and so ong as the cars not a Portugese import you just have to ring Renault uk tell them its a UK based car and you get the third year of the warently for fre drop Lee a message he has a printed letter if you want.

Remember most 172 imports are now over 3 years old so therefore unaffected by warranty related issues.

Deep pockets are the norm.

You can find out if they are an import by ringing renault.I did this a few times when HPI check came up as "Unknown make/model".

3 year warranty with both my imports edde . As long as they aren't Cypriot or Dutched sourced vehicles plus full 3 year AA Renault assistance . If anybody has any queries about their import phone Renault UK and they will confirm where the car was sourced from , what cover and AA assistance it has . They can check from your reg number or vin .
