172 kits on a 1.6 mk2

hi, i was looking on the other clios gallery and on the first page there is a 1.2 16v mk2 with an entire 172 kit on it, i asked k-tek if i could get this done, they said its not possible! can someone tell me how it is done because i want one. Thanks

Hi,

You have to go through Renault to get the parts, this is probably why K-Tec said no. You need:

Front bumper + lower and upper grills, Front wings, Front arch liners, Side skirts, Rear arch liners, Rear bumper + plastic insert

Front bumper is slightly wider than standard as are the front wings so you do need both + the side skirts are shaped to join the wings. The rear bumper fixes straight on. 172 Arch liners have different fixing points, this is why you need them too.

you dont need the front bumper and front wings...here in portugal we have a clio Dci with the 172 front bumper and the Dci front wings. it fits

realy, wow! cool, that whole body modding is a bit much, shame! the koncept kit is nice though, anyone got one, would it look good, my cars black, lowered, with lexus lights and 17"s, tints, scorpion exhaust and k-tek front grill

K-Tec do a real good job of their Koncept kits, would look cool on a black car. Have seen it on one of the light blue Dynams and looks good on that too.
