172 relays

[Matt 16v]

can anyone tell me which of these are for the cooling fan circuits on my phs 2 ff 172

the fan is still not engaging on my 172 (as per this thread) and i would like to fix it asap, becuase its very annoying :S

i'd guess it's got a/c as it's a ff 172..i can't remember which relay the fan is thought it was one of the small black ones? and doesn't the fan come on when the a/c is switched on? as could try swapping the realys round?
and see if it comes on with the a/c on?

Ah !just read the other thread, id forgotten about this, i thought you'd got it all working !!!!

Back on my head, sorry Matt.

I am a bit confused because the photo and the w/s manual don't tie up. if you look at the diagram on post #39 of the other thread, you will see what I mean.
Looking at the picture you are missing fuse 2 which is the 30a one for the engine coolant blower as per the list.

thanks for gettin involved again brian, yeah, the manual and my fuse box dont seem to be the same, is there a space for the 30a fuse or is it blanked off?

when i run a positive feed from the battery terminal to the fan lead, the fan works, but it doesnt engage when the car is running hot

it couldnt be as simple as a 30a fuse could it?

(edit: its got AC btw)
