182 drivers window inop

O,s window inop in my 182, it's not the regulator. Just clicking noise coming from nsf are when button pressed even with reg unplugged still clicking from ns. Any ideas????

The regulator mounting top bracket has a tendency to break, causing the glass to jam at an angle.

I plugged new reg in before fitting and it didn't operate. That's why I'm thinking not a reg problem
