182 limiter

has anyone noticed that the rev limiter on the 182 sometimes come on a little early.

It all depends on engine temperature.

Dont thrash your car when its cold. lol.

The limiter comes on at about 6500 rpm if the oil is not up to temp...

Even when the temp gauge has reached optimum, there is still a while until the engine properly warms up. Until then the ECU will put a limit on the revs depending on engine oil temp

oh right cool. yeah i have usually been going by my temp gauge. cheers

You should warm your car up for a good few miles at least before redlining it.... the temp gauge is the water temp - that is up to temp in no time and gives no indication as to whether the engine is warmed up or not.
