182FF Auto Lights with aftermarket stereo

  Titanium Clio 182FF
Hi all, I have had my 182 for months now and have no clue how the auto lights work or if they work at all. I installed an aftermarket stereo in my 182 (I spliced into the original loom where needed, I didn't use an adaptor if that makes a difference.

Why would the radio make a difference?

Flick the headlights on and off quickly and it should beep.
I thought so too😂, but every thread I saw said you should hear a beep, and one person said they needed to enter their radio code for it to work first.

Ignition to on but don’t start the car, turn the light on and off twice quicklyish beeps. Should van get the setting.
I think I did it correctly but it doesn't beep. I've tried it with the keys in the acc and on position, and I've tried flicking the light stalk from off to parking lights to off twice and off to dimmed beam twice. Am I doing it too fast? I'm doing it as fast as I can😂

Ok now I understand the beep is most likely the same beep that you hear when the door opens if you leave the headlights on and that still works fine.

Well, it looks like I don't have auto lights or wipers! How is that even possible? My 182 has the Cup suspension (I know because I had to install the 84mm wheel bearings myself, it has climate control, half leather seats and cruise control.

My windscreen isn't original, so I'm guessing previous owner must've had it replaced and maybe the whoever replaced it got the wrong windscreen and decided to leave the rain/light sensor module out☹️

Switch to sidelights and back only. Do any have to be the fast, controlled on and off twice works everytime for me.

You defo have the sensor for auto lights etc?
Just edited my reply, this windscreen is probably not for my model, there's no rain sensor module here despite the car definitely being a 182FF.

No light sensor either....
I know based on the half leather seats that this isn't a 182 Cup, it's 182 with both Cup packs, so was it even possible to spec a 182 with a trip computer, climate control, cruise control, cup suspension, spoiler and rims but no auto lights/wipers?

Has the screen been replaced at any point that you know of?
My old 182 CUP track car had the bonnet put through the screen, and Autoglass couldn't get me a factory replacement.

Well given the brand is 'Shatterprufe' I assume it's a replacement windscreen, because I remember my old 1.4 having a Renault branded windscreen. I wonder then if the wires for the sensors are still present and if I get another module will it work again🤔 ah well, it's not that important so I probably won't bother going to those lengths unless I find a scrapped one.

Again I can only guess, but the bonnet and front bumper are both littered with stone chips, but the windscreen looks unmarked, so it's likely a recently installed one too.
