197 smashed up

2 damaged then, someone hit a dog on a test drive but that's totalled, who was it that wanted the rear diffuser for there 172? lol

Don't think there is much left to get of that car really pretty bad that. Someone trying to see how fast it is compared to the 172/182? Was it a road accident or track?

the air bag definately went off inside as you can kind of see a bit of it so if that went of could the passenger have still gone through the windscreen?:S not sure or maybe if they had no seat belt on? or like you say it may be an outside object hit them too many questions.

Didn't know it would do that but it makes sense now. damn my lack of safety device knowledge.:dapprove: Yeah probably was that that did it then. They do come out pretty hard don't they those airbags.

when i crashed my car, the air bad fired out and gave me a friction burn all the way up my arm, didnt even need it as my seatbelt did what it was spost to do anyways

I agree gaz, saw my first one today, it was in red , but i was still impressed with how it looked from the front....like you say very flaired

I don't really like them but I do prefer the blue colour to the red so is a shame really. If someone bought me one I wouldn't punch them though would just sell it and get a 182 lol.

There is an air bag in the front bit obviously but where are the others david said something about the seats being ruined if they crash are they inside the seat or around them?

lol. look in the pic, its only the plastic bumpers and wings that have snapped off, exactly like our cars......

everything structural is still there (chassis rails etc) lloking pretty straight tbh

Nasty, but it's only a car.

Also saw my first 197 on the road today (in red) - much better in the flesh. Agree with the flaired comments about, it really looks wider and squat-er than in any pics I've seen.

The seats are all scratchy and horrible if the seats were nice like the 172/182 ones I would be slightly more inclined to like it. I want to see what other versions they do of it but renault wolves said there are no plans as yet to change the seats.

its done exactly what its designed to do. Renault could have designed it so that car looked almost 100% after the crash, however, the passengers wouldnt be alive...
