197's - I haven't got a clue...

For the guys in the know in regards to the 197's.

what do the cup models actually come with over a normal 197?

does the car in the link look right for a 197, I've driven past this everyday this week in a local dealership and its caught my eye everyday, but I wasn't sure if the front bumper was supposed to be like this with the lower splitter, or if it was an aftermarket add on.

tempted to stop in tomorrow morning and see if I can arrange a nice deal on the car, but wouldn't mind a little pointer in the right direction.

The cups come with the cup chassis as standard, and poverty everything else... Although they do have better placed interior door handles (the normal ones are right by the hinge so the wind can rip the door from your hand)

the one in the link seems alright, the standard seats are as supportive as recaros, if you can live without recaros then go for it

its got all the RS aero pack splitter, skirts and spoiler. Didnt read the rest of the ad, just looked at the pics

That wont be a cup (i maybe wrong) due to the fact it has body coloured door strips.

There are 3 basic choices...

197
197 with cup packs (Full Fat)
197 Cup

The 197 Cup has "lighter" plastic dash, and cup suspension and non-colour coded door mirrors and bump strips
The FF car can be spec'd with all the bits for the Cup, but with better material dash, adjustable steering wheel, cruise control and AC.

IMO as long as you get cup suspension and Recaros you wont go far wrong

That was the main question in my mind, the front splitter, but from your response I assume that is factory for the cup edition.
​not so worried about it being a poverty spec inside, it will just be a fun car for a year or so.

Front splitter, skirts and spoiler are RS Accessory optional extras expensive options at that!

Just has the standard key barrel rather than keyless/push start

Side strips have been colour coded by the looks of things along with door handles

Yup, looking again, id agree with Withoutabix, interior door grabs are in the correct place and the dash "looks" correct
