200 Gordini Won't Start

  Arctic 182
Afternooon all a friend has recently bought a clio 200rs gordini as a Cat c to repair all bodywork is now done but it will not run, there is no voltage at all at the fuel pump and apparently its ecu controlled.

Have plugged in to it with scanner and cleared all fault codes and no more have come up, just wondering if anyone can shed any light on it for him.

Thanks in advance

What scanner did you use as an eBay cheap-o-generic reader won't touch any systems other than the main engine management. Chances are theres an "impact detection" code somewhere in either the UCH or UPC/Imob.

Out of curiosity what codes were cleared? I'm also assuming that you've check all the fuses and inspected the wiring loom under the bonnet for damage?

Bosch KTS and a Snap-on scanner were used airbag fault codes were cleared was the dash and stering wheel bags that went off they have been replaced guys a bit lost and has been told that you need to put a code in via the stalks! sounds like bull to me!

KTS (lolz) what an over priced piece of s**t that kit is.

As Shep said above they are talking crap mate and chances are there is a crash code active that is inhibiting the vehicle starting (either that or you have a wiring fault). It really needs CLIP'n to be safe though as it'll not only read the codes accurately on all systems it will also perform a multiplex network test to tell you if there's a comms fault on the CANBUS network as these are (in my experience) the most common cause of non-starting issues on Renaults today.

Where are you based?
