I’ve recently had some struggles with my 63 plate Clio Gt line. It is currently flashing signs and lighting up dashboard with “check anti pollution system” and “check auto gearbox” faults. It didn’t change into neutral, reverse or drive on start up. Engine turns on fine and sounds okay, but strangely computer says 9mpg avg. (I haven’t yet tested actual mpg since faults started).
I figure battery is the issue. It went completely flat almost 5years ago and required a change.
Any ideas? I’m hoping it’s battery rather than anything serious. I had the timing chain re done and it had engine oil leaks as well as a failed PCV grommet (all of which have been fixed)
Please let me know if you have faced similar situations and what the results were of those.
