Helps reduce restriction in the exhaust so gases can leave the engine quicker so more air can be burned.Quote: Originally posted by Saner on 05 April 2004

A decat helps reduce the resistance in the flow of exhaust gasses, When the pistons come back up from a cycle they push the exhaust gasses out, if there is less resistance then there is less force used to push and so there is a power release rather than a gain, less power is used getting rid of the exhaust gasses so more can be used on the rest of the cycle !!Quote: Originally posted by david_129 on 06 April 2004
