24K service due soon.Whats needed/costs?

  Monaro VXR/Cupra TDi
I own a 182 Cup on an '05 plate. It's nearing 24K. Obviously a service is due. Can anyone tell how much it's likely to cost and what's involved.

Also I've heard something about a belt needing to be changed and that some dealerships are aware of the necessity to change it...I'm barking up the wrong tree?

All replies appreciated.

Thank you.:)

wouldnt take my car anywhere else now apart from Rentech,Mike serviced mine at 24k and my mums as well .take it there mate better than getting some knobhead renault monkey working on it.

I live in Essex. Also a warranty is still valid until June. I feel I ought to honour it by using dealership (not that I wish to) otherwise it may become void.

  172
It won't become void, as long as they use genuine Renault parts and are VAT registered (which Rentech in Portsmouth do/are) then it won't invalidate it. I'd take it there if I were you!

as far as i know it wont become void - id take it to a renault specialist near you...they will know far more about your car and be far more cheaper!!

  FIAT PANDA 100HP!!!!
they cant void a warranty anymore if you dont get it serviced by the dealer. as has been said above as long as they use renault parts they cant do a thing!

I like the idea of taking it to those guys though the distance in petrol may outweigh it. I suspect it'll be circa 125 miles from my home town of Braintree (nr Chelmsford). Any specialists in Essex? Or nearby?

im sure it would still be cheaper for you to travel a bit furhter and use an rs specialist, rs tuning in leeds are about £100 cheaper than my local dealers for my 24 k service.

also worth considering at renault the mechanics will deal with every single renault ever made and only a small no. are rs clios so prob not used to working on them, take the car to rentech and rs clios are their bread and butter.

the above goes for any of the clio tuners, yozza/gdi/rs tuning etc etc sorry if missed anyone nothing personal.

Well I'm making the journey down there from Bristol in a few weeks for the cambelt....the place comes highly reccomended on here and for a job so big it's worth having it done properly.

24k service is the 4 year one....Renault advise changing the coolant and brake fluid as well as the usuals (oil & air filter)

i thought 24 k service for a 182 is the same as a 12k service (an A) is just oil, oil filter, air filter and pollen filter (if you have one) everything else is just a long list of checks and topping up of fluids (washer/coolant/brake fluid) if they require.

there is a thread on here somewhere with a detailed list of everything changed and checked for each service. i printed it off for reff im sure it wont be hard to find though.

Thank you everyone. If it works out alot cheaper I'll certainly be taking it to a specialist.:)
