3/4 front number plate?

  PH2 172
I was going to put a 3/4 front number plate on my car but wasnt sure if i would get pulled over alot and get loads of fines i dont really go out alot anymore but just didnt fancy loads of fines.

  a thirsty one
just get one with std font no borders or badge etc and as long as your rear is std you should be fine, had mine on for a while and no problems.

its readble and quite subtle some on here dont like them as always its a matter of taste.

yeah i really want a smaller one on my beast when i had my 106 gti the police were sat in a layby and i drove past them they noticed my front plate had different writing so followed me and pulled me over and got a £30 fine but like u said i would get one with standard writing with no boarders or anything like that but i dont go out like i used to so i shouldnt have no problems with the police touch wood.

dependant on your reg if you want to stay legal, why not just cut down a normal size/letterd/spaced plate?

those plates are small aint they i might just get one does look beter than a big plate what u people say get one or not

Personally i'm not that keen on 3/4 sized front plates. I prefer the custom sized ones which fit the bumper exactly with no over hang (they are a touch bigger than 3/4 ones)

they arent over sized 3/4 plates. i got one made up from fancypplates.com. bassically You just ask for a normal size number plate but in the extra options box ask for the heigh to be 3/4 so its normal width totally filling the insert but with no overhang.

Thats what mine is like at the moment, will probably out a full size plate back on to cover the holes back up.

Chipsaway my be able to help, but is it worth the expense.
