3/4 Plate fitted

Had to remove the old plate, smooth and fill the holes some clown drilled when fitting some old plates, respray and laquer then finally position the new plate which appears to be wonky. D'oh. Oh well, i'll straighten it when the laquer has fully set.

maybe ill spot you easier now with teh small plate, still havnt seen you about and we live about 2 mins away from each otha

Not sure about the plate though, think bumper needs smoothing like below

you've done a good job on fitting it. i couldnt be bothered with the hassle of having the front filled and sprayed so went for full size plates lol

That looks mint Jamie. The bonnet and bumper will need painting shortly so may look at that then. Still can't believe I haven't seen you. I used to see you every Friday at about 3 when I got back from Uni'.

Dutty, I was looking for a pic of yours as I couldn't remember wether it was sat high or low. I'll change it tomorrow.

theyre illegal mate, get caught its a £30 fine!

what are the dimensions? Fancyplates dont have a 3/2 option...

I think they'd look good if there wasn't a recess for a full sized plate in the bumper. As it is, I think that looks gash. each to their own.

Not getting that one mate.

Looks like a mini normal plate. What I mean is that the letters are smaller but in proportion with the plate. Normally a 3/4 plate has standard size font which fills the 3/4 plate to the very edges. Yours still has blank areas around the edges like a normal plate.

I'd have fitted a smidgen further up too.

I just went for a bog standard totally plain normal plate.

I've only ever been stopped 3 times in 6 years of driving at I drive like a clown 99% of the time (within the limits of the road and situation obviously) so I don't think I should have a problem with getting stopped. If I do I will change it back but at a glance, you'd never even know.

It's not too hard to sort but the finish isn't amazing as the weather turned really badly within about 5 min's.

I'm going to flat the laquer tomorrow and move the plate upwards as I wasn't sure on where to position it.

They do look good.. My dad had one on his motorbike, but after two days a copper pulled him over and told him to change it back or he would be fined and have points on his licence.

what are the dimension of it as im ordering mine from fancypaltes and i no u can specify wat size u want, im having a really small one flushed into boot and sqaure one in window so coppers cant complain and a 3/4 size one on front

sorry not a fan, i think its because there is space cut into the front bumper for a standard size plate, maybe if it was 3/4 the plate would look fine!

I wondered why this had popped back up. There is an option for 3/4 plate I believe Harry, no need to specify dimensions.

Use the Fancyplates option mate, input your reg. no. then on step 2 specify the size. 3/4 is at the bottom.

My back plate is normal size. Didn't want to risk it if police were following me. I don't theink small plates look particularly good on the back either.
