3/4 plate

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
3/4 plates aren't illegal if the lettering and spacing on the plates is legal.

3/4 plates are illegal as its impossible to match all the requirements. cut down plates can be legal tho

The spacing has to be legal, the font legal and there NEEDS to be an 11mm border all the way round the lettering.
The size of the plate is dependant on your reg ultimately, for example 1 DA would fit on a tiny plate whilst maintaining the legal requirements, where as a reg with more digits obviously needs a bigger plate.

whatisjustis, that plate hasn't got legal lettering, the plate is too narrow.

Yeah the plate 1 DA could go on a short plate, providnig the letters were the right height & width and the 11mm border all the way round was there etc :)

Yeah, the (minimum) 11mm margin has to be on both sides and top & bottom of the lettering.

Your lettering alone needs to be 79mm in height so our "recess plates" aren't legal as they are only 84mm high.

Ahhh, I see :) Thanks.

It's a sure fire winner though as subtle enough to slip past a passing policeman and stylish enough to compliment the front end. 3/4 plates are all well and good but surely it can't be worth the 'oo err' feeling everytime you pass an oncoming police car?

Yes, I got the recess-size one for the front too lol
HD Velcro pads for easy swap if I'm going to a show or an event :)
