360 Fan

I've seen on ebay some 360 fans which plug into the back of the xbox to help keep it cool. I know there is lots of shite on ebay (15+bhp mods for cars etc) but was curious as to whether these are worth it or not?

My room isn't exactly the coldest of places and i'm worrying about my 360 overheating.

So the question is... are they worth it? If not, suggest something else?

ahh chris, my cousins mates shop has external xbox fans come in direct from japan. he is selling them for £5 brand new. i brought a few off him last month.

someone at the suppliers got the order wrong and he got send 200 fans..

if you want one, ill ask him when i go footie on friday

Have you used them and are they upto scratch? Don't want to be ruining my xbox

i read in 360 mag or watever it is saying there are useless,

no need for them at all.

But isn't overheating the main cause of all the problems with 360's? Surely more air you can get circulating around the box the better?

no overheating isnt the problem it seems yes it gets hot but not too hot i mean ubless you have all the holes in itt covered or keep it in a cupboard with the doors shut

dont bother they have a been know to have a defect where the plastic melts around the plug/port therefore renders it very difficult to remove without damaging your 360

probably just better buyin ur own wee fan and sticking it next to it tbh. Make sure its not to close to a wall etc etc

Open it up and chuck in some new high speed fans.. lets face it the 360 is a computer.. it uses almost standard parts.
