360 to 5.1 speakers

Ive got my 360 close to my pc which is connected to some 5.1 speakers....say if i connect the 2 phono connectors from the component cable to the AUX in on my sound card


will this be true 5.1 from the 360 or will it be playing the same through each speaker if ou get what i mean:S

it wont be true 5.1. you need all the speaker connections using the cable you can get for the 360 with all the outputs.

thought so.....is this actually possible with the standard component cable?


I would prefer to go directly to the speakers which are some inspire 5.1's pretty old now they only have the seperate 3.5mm jacks and no digital in or anything.

only way for true 5.1 from the xbox 360 is using a optical cable.

are there component cables available with optical out?

Ive got a VGA cable but it looks cack on my tv prefer componenet
