3G wireless always on

Just noticed my iphone wireless is always connected, even when the phone is in sleep mode. Its killing the battery and i'm sure it never used to do it?

WiFi? It deffo shouldn't be doing that, in sleep mode (unless you're charging) it should switch off WiFi and just use the mobile network.

I guess you've already tried power cycling?
