I’ve looked for the new Alienware monitor but can’t find it at any UK retailers? Dell site, Amazon, OC, Ebuyer. I’m assuming it’s not released yet in the UK

At half the price you can't go wrong with this one imo.

I've got a 4k 144hz screen overclocked to 160hz (I can't tell the difference between 144 and 160). And I've got a 1080p 240hz screen. Again I can't tell the difference between 144/160 and 240hz tbh.

I was thinking OLED, or will that really make much difference?

Not a clue!

My TV is 4k 144hz OLED and my monitor is 4k IPS LCD. Couldn't tell you if one is better than the other performance wise. My other monitor is VA, again I couldn't tell you if there's a difference.

The biggest difference should be the contrast. OLED is ridiculously more capable in that respect, although it’s recommended to have the room darker.

Oled for COD is probably wasted a bit too because you'd probably end up increasing black levels just to see in the shadows better then again maybe it'd help you see in the shadows better. It's hard to compare my C1 against my monitor as it's much better playing on monitor but an easy way to describe the difference in colour at least is the dark stuff is darker and bright stuff is brighter lol. I have the LG ultra gear 4k monitor and recommend it and it's probably more than enough. Worth thinking about you won't be getting much more that 140 frames with your 3080 anyway without turning everything low in graphics.

So the displayport from the pc to the potential HDM 2.1 monitor, am i right is that i can watch in 4k?

I have the PS5 and that will be in 4k 144hz using the new screen

Deal ends 30/9 from what I can see. Better off waiting until black Friday see what else pops up?

What are the LG monitors like, are they as good or the same as the tv’s?

Apart from the Asus few posts up i been looking at, 32" would be great step up from 27". The Asus is 28" though. £530 for the 32" HDMI 2.1 1ms 144hz

What do you mean "or the same as the TV's"? LG TV's are pretty much the best you can buy :)

But yeah I have an LG Ultragear and it's absolutely superb.

Depends what resolution you're after. Wide monitors with 2160 vertical pixels are on the way. Or are you happy at 1440?

I'm aware that the tv's are good, the next tv for the house will be a LG in the next year or so. I was just wondering if the build quality and reliability is as good as the monitors. I've had a couple Asus monitors and they been spot on. I had the Asus PB277 27" 1440p 1ms monitor 8 years or so now and looking for my first 1ms 4k hopefully a bit bigger 28" or 32"

I'll keep an eye out for the one specific in the link above see if it comes down even more. I use my monitor for pc use and streaming netlfix and ps5, so i think the 32" will be better for the movies and that. I'll see, it took a while going from a 23/24"" to a 27" from my last monitor

On a side note, it did cross my mind about having dual monitors, keeping my 27" 1440p and when i do get the new 27" / 28" or 32" 4k monitor having it side by side. What do i have to do or need to set up dual montiors?

Ah sorry mate, I read your comment wrong. Like, "are their monitors as bad as their TV's" :ROFLMAO:
