5w40 5w50 or 10w40

In the current process of building my 172 cup track car.

Im currently using 5w40 Renault oil by castrol and I’m wondering if this is sufficient enough for track, will it not be too thin after hard driving?

Yes it’s sufficient.

I wouldn’t put anything thicker than a 40 in, personally.
