6.5 inch wheels are a little narrow for a 172?

I'd go with 7" at least

I'm running 15x6.5 O.Z super T's at the moment, 195/50/15 no probs, still a 195 section tyre so as long as you have decent rubber you won't notice.
172 Offset is ET38 iirc? Can you try them on?
