6 speed box?

What are my options for boxes which bolt up to the 182 block as it seems the mk2 megane box doesn't?. Feeling like I need a 6th gear.

Having 6 gears ruined the drive of my boosted 182 (using megane engine and box)

Felt like my hand was never off the gearstick as I was always changing gear. That was with 15s but I assume it won't make much of a difference.

5 speed would have been so much better

Didn't someone fit a 197/200 'box to a 1*2? Don't think it was on here, but sure someone shared a link to a Facebook post st some point.

Assume it would need custom mounts and shafts though.

The bell housing of a 197/200 box is huge in comparison mate.

Only real option is to find a 6 speed TL4 from a dci as they have a smaller bell housing from memory, then fit the 197/200 gear kit inside the box.

Next problem to overcome is the crank sensor position as it’s different on the TL4 box to a JC5. You would also need an adapter plate of some sort to convert TL4 to JC5.
