6230i - Help Wanted!

Evenin' all,

My Mum's just got given a 6230i but it appears to be set up to automatic answer all the time.

Is there anyway that it can be switched off? I've been through every conceivable menu but no luck so far...

lol, does she have a headset or handsfree with it cos sometimes they will auto-answer if these are connected.

Oooh I've just been given one of them as a work phone! I can't find anything about auto-answer though, mine doesn't do that..

I think it's a great phone though - annoying that I get a free phone just after signing up for another year with Orange to get an N80

I think the auto-answer is only an option when you look in settings>enhancements. then go to the different enhancements, select and it will display Profile and Auto answer options.

only thing i could find was

Menu > Settings > Enhancements > Headset > Automatic Answer

Maybe you have any key answer on so accidentally a button is pressed and looks as though it's automatically answered?

well, it turns out she had the headset in so was automatically doing it...
