650 mile ’runnin in’

I know this is a boring topic but I just wanted a rough idea what you guys have done when buying your new cars. Ive had my 182 9 days now and done 390 miles at less than 3500rpm and im bored! I wanna see what this thing can do. I know im impatient but I cant wait a couple of weeks to reach 650 miles!

ive had mine 3 weeks, the first 100 miles I took it easy and then after that I thought fuk it.. its under warranty nutts to running it in

Since then I have driven it as normal... normal in driving and traffic and then when ive been on my own or when this c**k in a nova tried it on RAGGED THE sh*t out of the french whore ....

I phoned 3 dealerships when i got mine and got 1 that said follow the instructions and wait until 625 miles... the other two jsut said fuk it give the car hell...

id wait the full 650 miles its not long and you will feel better if you do, when it gets to 625 miles, i didnt take up to full chat until 1200miles, gradual building it up...

If I was keeping my car for a long time from new (like five to ten years), or felt kind towards future second-hand buyers, then Id run it in. My parents just bought a Dynamique for my brother and Ive done 1,000 miles in it because my car is dead! I ran it in gently because I know that when it gets sold, itll either go to one of my brothers or myself - so its a small price to pay for later engine durability (e.g. oil seals etc).

On the other hand, cars that get ragged from new have a reputation for being faster. Its probably rollox, but at least itll have that psychological effect!

Just go out and drive 50 miles (2 hours at most if you leave the concrete jungle) every evening. I can easily put the stereo on and drive for hours on end just going around in circles as I find it so relaxing. Would take you less than a week to hit your target. You could drive to the coast and back this weekend or something as the weather will be nice. That should slap a couple of hundred miles on it.
