72k service in Merseyside

Hi all,

My car is only a couple of months off its 72k mile service. I mentioned it to Renault recently when picking up a new bulb, and was qouted £280 for the service and a further £200 for a cambelt change.

I'm assuming I can get a major service and cambelt change for less than £480.

Does anybody have any recommendations for a garage to get this done in or around Merseyside?

Rang Renault and gave them the car reg etc and asked for an exact quote for a major service and cambelt change, also rang Nationwide Autocentres and asked them the same - got the following quotes...

Renault - £611

Nationwide Autocentres - £354

Is that in reference to Nationwide?? Don't know what their reputation is like, just got a quote as there is one near to where I live and it was the first place that popped into my head.

I'm sure I could get this done cheaply anywhere but want to go to somewhere that is good with the Clio. Will PM winston to see what he can do but would like to avoid going to Bury and back if I can.
