8 Inch Rims

Can a lowered Clio Cup run 8 inch rims without any mods to the wheel arches/bodywork

Cheers, under MSA Sprint Regs you can run 1 inch wider rims in roadgoing class ( you can't alter the bodywork to suit) so was considering this as an option.

My 197 used to run 8 inch wide no issues.
