A few new pics from today. (56k ok, ish)

A few pics from todays activities. Met up with Lloyd V as he swapped headlights with Immi. Lloyd had the pre 05 spec black ones and wanted a swap. Bumper off is a 10 min job apart from when you nearly drop the whole lot on the floor, sorry mate.

After we swapped, back to mine to bundle the bits back onto a car which looked like it had been written off...

Last picture of the orginal post, it looks like some glue or something on the skirts.

Both cars look great guys, but I agree with the front numberplate comment.

Are the clear parts of the rear lights on the 172 slightly tinted?

Very nice, I think black lights will compliment the dark wheels and 2.0 litre badges on the 172.

The sills are slightly buckled since some monkey jacked his car up on the wrong points at a tyre place. it just looks weird in the pics.

As for my rear lights being tinted, no there not. nice idea though. hmmm

Clart - A Mk2 rear bumper is easy to get hold of and you can fit it yourself with a few tools. You need Mk2 arch liners to go with it though, the Mk1 items dont fit.

i agree i need the front plate sorting asap. i have REALLY gone off it.

I agree about the front plate comments chris especially when you can see the old drill holes

Id get either totally plain plates in Irish font thats only marginally smaller but the same style as English plates like ive got on mine or maybe a pressed carbon style font might work well against the silver and your wheels

Did you colour code the rear lock surround?

^^yeah. Was tempted to get a whole Mk2 tailgate from eBay, but i needed coilovers too.

New plates are on order.

The lock surround just screws on as far as im aware

Theres a Mk2 at my local scrappy ill have a look next time im there, its not colour coded coz its a base model car but thats easily sorted
