A Little Knock

Does anyone else get a slight knock when they reverse thier car and then drive forward on thier 172. Only seems to happen when you first start up and its nothing major (I hope). Is it the brake catching or something?

Rear pads sometimes stick to the discs overnight. Quite bad sometimes it is like the brakes are still on and then Bang! it frees up and all is fine.

I get a knock from the drivers side suspension- slight but audible, when moving back & forth at parking speeds or when starting the car sometimes. It has been in many many times to Reno for this & other little probs. They couldnt pinpoint it or sort it- as it doesnt happen constantly I can only guess it is a spring rattling against the car/shock, or the top mount mabye. They have been modded though to stop the creak it originally had!!

Dootchy, thats the exact fault with mine. Its on the passenger side though on mine.......

It doesnt bother me too much now, plus Ive heard that aftermarket springs cure it altogether. And a tasty wee drop too!!

The worst prob I have ongoing, is a nasty rattle through the steering when pressing on through some bends. Sounds/feels like the rack has worked loose. EVO had the same with theirs & turned out a replacement "rotary switch" whatever that is, did the trick. Back in next Wed, so Ill let you know how I get on. Mine had six shox so far to try & cure the knock at the drivers side!!!!
