A loud grinding noise ..... help

  BMW E36 328
A few weeks ago i hit a kerb with the front left wheel, snapped my sub frame, suspension arm and wishbone. It has all been fixed but now i have a grinding noise coming from the front left side. Its not a wheel bearing. It makes the noise when im accelerating and braking, but it gets louder when i moving at a steady speed, a friend thinks that it could poss be the ball joint on the drive shaft but i dont have a clue.
Any suggestions?????

first thing I would do is strip the front brakes give them a good clean, grease up and rebuild. Replace parts if necessary. Had a similar noise on mine when discs were knackered but not all the time
