A quick run to Carlisle

Went up to see some relatives so took a few snaps of the 172.
Great journey overall, a bit more wind noise the my old 330 but much smoother ride, no back ache and more fun on the back roads.

Only downside was 34-37mpg on a 200 mile steady run at 70-80, was expecting over 40 easily so will have to investigate lambda's etc.
Fitted some HID's whilst in the barn having a look around, million times better!

u need a set of headlight washer jets now mate to finish it off, and to adhere to the law. cops are crunching down on this from this year, i believe it will be 3 points per headlight and a fine.

Headlight washers are with xenons only dude, not HID's from what I remember.
I may be wrong though.

Hid and xenons are the same thing. Yours will be alright i think because its only if they are fitted they need to work. Mind you my washers dont work and it passed no prob in jan.

They are, but I don't think I'll have any problems as they're in proper lenses. If I do it's 2 mins to swap them over so no worries.
Does need a clean but had the 200 miles back to go so never bothered, bit chilly too!

Oh, notice how low the bad end is in the last few pictures, there's a 165kg anvil in the boot!
