Accelerating "flatspot"

  Oyster Card
Recently noticed this now I'm paying attention to my fuel ecomony, if I accelerate in any gear at any speed there is hesitation up until 2k revs then it picks up speed.

I can tell when I hit 2k revs without looking at the speedo as I can feel the car pull a bit more once it's hit it.

Any ideas what this could be?

kk cheers mate, might just be me nit picking at it just the car feels a bit extra sluggish with the sub on and I'm trying to lay the blame at something lol.

It doesn't sputter/jump or anything like that just the only way I can describe it is like I take my foot off the throttle slighly at 2k (which I dont!) it pulls fine before and after the 2k mark.

It sounds like your describing the exact same thing my Mk1 PH3 RL is doing. Has been annoying me. Pretty sure it wasn't so sluggish low down a few months back.

Due a service soon so will see what they say then.

Thats because most cars come on cam on or a bit after 2k rpm so no need to worry mate.

But surely if it's fine before and after 2k RPM then it's not just coming on cam? I don't really kno wbut sounds slightly like what I sometimes get when starting from cold, and that definately is a problem as it's not there when warm.
