Accessing the Net with a 56K Modem

A number of threads with pictures included still have (56K No way) etc appended to the end of the title. Just out of interest how many people are still using a 56K modem to access the Net??

Just about nobody I think . Think these days its just used to let people know that their thread is gonna have a lot of pics in it.

TBH anyone still on 56k deserves to have to wait for pictures to download. Even if it's because they can't get anything else where they live

My lass has it at her house, a bloody nightmare!

Quite often she'll go to a website and i have it loaded up and browsing the site from my mobile before its even came up on the PC lol

One of my friends used to have broadband but one day BT wrote to them saying that all ADSL services would cease to their area. He's now stuck on dialup.

Ask people on 20Mb Virgin Media.. they have similar issues.
