i have ad blocker on my norton anti virus, doesn't seem to work for some unknown reason. any1 know why or even easier a good free one?

what year is it, mine is 2006 open norton control panel mines under anti spam - ad blocking.

Make sure its on.

not under there just looked, it's 2004.
its not really adds, it just happened again.
it says messneger alert at the top?

2004 is similar, there are only a few headings make sure they all on.

Have you got a pic of this "messenger alert", I presume its msn messenger?

no just the latest msn thats all i downloaded

Do the following:

Start -> Run, and type 'services.msc' and click 'OK' -> On the right side of the new window that appears find 'Messenger', double click and instead of it saying 'Automatic' change it to 'Disabled'

OR

Install XP Service Pack 2 and it does this by default.

Make sure you install all the updates from Microsoft Update otherwise your computer will be more prone to virus and things like this too.

but to keep my system undercontrol... i have:

Zone Alarm Pro (includes anti spywayre)
Trend Micro PC Cilin - Anti Virus & Spyware
MS Anti spyware

an i never have a problem lol
