How does the USB fault effect it mate? Might know someone interested in this.

just means the usb port is intermittent for connection to a laptop, its a common issue but the ecu is equipped with usb and serial communication so just need to use the serial cable to laptop instead of a usb. Speaking with efi parts they offer a repair service for the usb port but as the serial works instead i didnt bother sending it off

the lead provided with it is a usb to serial adapter and then serial to jack as required by the ecu. i should state that really. worked fine for me on windows 10 and windows xp

Few do these days - but the adapters aren't expensive - assuming it's DB9 serial? Probably a lot cheaper on eBay too....
