Adding a crank case breather?

Anyone got a samco silicon bend? I have just ordered a bend that doesn't have a breather hole in it like the hillpower ones.

Have you got a separate filter for the breather pipe? Wheres the best position for it?

Or should i just butcher the samco hose and stick the breather pipe in there?

Just get a crankcase breather filter for between £10 and £17 depending on which brand, just put on the end of the breather pipe that went into the OEM elbow and tie it out of the way, can't remember the neck diameter of the filter you need but think it's 13 or 15 mm but best checking on the car, dont butcher the hose

I always thought the Hillpower ones had the inlet in for the crankcase breather?

Yeah they do, but i've bought a samco hose (xtreme), which isn't taylor made for the clio, basically because is was 20 quid! lol

So i don't know whats the best for the breather pipe. Would a separate crank case breather filter be ok - would it get enough air? :S

Look on Demon Tweeks site....lots of crankcase filters on there by K&N and Green.

Noticed halfrauds had them in yesterday too, whether they're the right size to be of any use I don't know. Were about £10-15 I think.

Yep they sell two sizes normally 10 and 13mm.. You stretch to fit a bit realy.

I got my breather for 2.50ukp. I had removed it cos I think it effect the fuel consumption. Also, I think it is better to suck some oil from the engine.

The crank ventilation system only has that single outlet and building high crankcase pressures isnt great. If there is no particular reason to change it, dont.

PLus it stinks and you'll drip oil.
