will this enable me to add tunes to my iphone 3g while keeping the original songs on it?

the reason why I dont want to use iTunes is because I can find a way of putting the songs back onto my pc which are on my iphone and adding new ones which are on my pc without it deleting all the songs from my iphone (hope that makes sense).

I will continue to use it when I have enough money for a MBP.

Ok.... well use idump to take music from ipod to pc... very simple to use and effective.

As for adding new ones to your iphone... its not itunes fault, its your iphone settings. you need to check "manually manage my music"

Itunes is very nice if you know how to use it effectively.

i use WinAmp to add songs to my iPod, so presumably it'll work for the iPhone too. WinAmp is by far the best mp3 app out there, give it a shot.

iTunes is fine unless you want to sync it with more than one library, then it's pap. I use Sharepod to copy music from iPhone to my PC so I can sync it.

Am I right in saying if you have synced your Ipod with Iphones at any point, you can not then use a 3rd party app such as Anapod?
I ask because I had about 30GB's worth of data synced to my Ipod via Itunes...Then I installed Anapod on another machine, and browsed my Ipod, which worked and I was able to pull content off. However when I next turned my Ipod on everything was gone and the Ipod was blank!
