Adrian Flux

I spoke to Adrian Flux today and they were able to beat my cheapest quote of £1031.20 (Tesco Value) by almost £100 giving me a premium of £940-ish through a company called 'Marker Study'.

I've never heard of them before so was wondering if anybody has had an experience and would be willing to comment on their experience/experiences with them?

I'm going to give Chris Knott a call too before they close today. I read the sticky and noticed they only give fully comp to over 22's but do mention that each application is carefully considered.

Has anybody manage to get them to bend the rules? I have 4 years NCB but this is my first 'powerful' car (182) stepping up from a 1.4 Corsa.

I'm still to speak to my current insurer who cancelled my existing and transfered to the 182 for £96 in total of which £25 was admin fee. Yet they're quoting me £1300 when £70 * 12 = nearer to 850!

Thanks in advance

i am insured by the same company through adrian flux. it will be adrian flux that deal with it should you have a claim, as you always call adrian flux rather than the marketstudy insurance people.

i have never had any issues bu then i have never claimed!

also, mine is cheaper and you have more no claims and a better driving record if you have no pionts!:S i would haggle a bit more unless you live in a high risk area!

cheers

this week flux quoted me 550, last years was 430, 7yrs ncb and only one claim in past.

Greenlight quoted 430, flux got back today with 425

^ Yeah but Greenlight will include the Boomerang key cover in your policy where as Flux includes sweet FA. Basically if you loose your car key you can get it replaced similiar to those companies that replace/fix broken windscreens.

Why would you go with a company that just tried to stiff you with a £100 increase over last year? They tried the same stunt with me so ive never been back.

Looks like Flux have been the cheapest for me this year.

I rang Churchills my current provider and managed to push them down from £1345 to £1116 but they weren't prepared to go any lower. They had matched the lower excess etc etc but it was still over £150 more expensive than Flux.

Key cover, legal protection, fully comp, £400 excess, windscreen replace £80 and chip repair £25 = £950 (annual milage 3000). Didn't say they needed to record my current milage, however it was noted on the V5 when I sent it off and it will have been a month between then and my current policy. So there's no proof (if they did record it) I haven't driven it however many miles over 3000 if I do go over in that month I wasn't with them.
