advice on painting

with painting my wingmirrors... ive now sprayed one.

do i now need to sand them? if so what grade paper do i need. i only have 1200 atm.

Not if the colour coat finish is ok . Just apply a few good coats of lacquer now . You only need to sand the top coat or lacquer if the finish isn't perfect . 1200 grit should be ok if you do need to sand , personally i'd go for 1500 or 2000 grit though .

2000 might be a bit soft...
1200 is fine for finishing.. go to a higher grit paper if you want mirror finish on paint.
