advice please, clutch pedal

  330Ci cab
is the pedal on a ratchet system ala ford escort? cos its pissing me off as im unsure whether the clutch is wearing far too quickly or otherwise.
it clicks on almost every gear change and is biting higher up.

i dont ride the clutch, i dont use it as a footrest, and i use the h/brake on hills (experiened driver y'see) :)

a mate has said its a hydraulic clutch, but any advice welcomed

The 1*2's have a cable operated clutch and an adjustable ratchet that self adjusts with clutch wear. In my experience the biting point as standard is quite 'high' anyhow.

ive always thought it was high too, but its the constant clicking on almost every shift thats starting to annoy me a little. maybe i should just book it in and have it looked at. just thought there might have been an incident where someone else has had the same problem

Yeah mine is clicking allot too for quit a long time now, not often it doesn't click. Been reading might just need greasing/WD40 on the pedal lever area?
