advice please



  Titanium 182
after only 2 years im back in a RS this time a 182. other than the alternator being knackered and being fixed under warranty i have another cople of Q's

1. where should the temp gauge sit when up to temperature
2. what rpm is normal idle.

i think thats all i need to know (for now)

1 : Slap bang in the middle
2 : 850rpm unless remapped then it can be a little higher, but normally under 1000.
It can be a little higher on start up untill up to temp.
 
  Titanium 182
hmmm thought as much ! my temp is running lower on the dial and the revs are idling at around 1000rpm what would cause this ? cts ,thermostat?

Could be the CTS, H02 or the station but I'd guess, without seeing the car, it's the CTS
 
  Clio RS 172 /Trafic
I wouldnt worry too much if the temp is a little bit lower as long it warms up. It's going to do more harm if it gets too hot. The gauge should get to the middle in normal conditions.
