advise me guys :)

Well since im new to the 172 thing i need help choosing a cat back system for the cup. I like the whole hiddin exhaust look on the cup and dont fancy changing that much been looking about and i like the look of the k-tec steath??? The only thing is ive never heard it in person or being driven, Is this a good choice? How will in affect the cups performace etc?

I had a powerflow stainless stealth when i had a 172 . Couldn't fault it or the guys at Powerflow . Nice sound , not too loud as i was able to choose the backbox which i liked the sound of . It was £270 fabricated and fitted .

Agree with you there mate i have a powerflow stainless stealth system with decat from Turriff Tyres and cant fault it in anyway.

Some people say bad things about Powerflow but i aint had much problems in past.

Including rusting etc etc

Powerflow is a franchise and varies horribly. Only custom places I can recommend are Pro-speed in cardiff and Hayward and scott in Essex. they are the only companies for cutom exhausts the come recommended on every car forum I have ever used!

Other than the custom route then you are looking at the K-Tec stealth which comes highly recommeneded but occasionally people have said its a bit loud

Yeah heard that mate, but ive also heard turiff tyres are just as bad, think im going to go down the k-tec stealth route soon

I started of with a cat back stainless stealth system and that was about £260-£280 i can't remember exactly :S

And after a few months a few days after my car was mot'd again i went back up for the decat section That was £60 quid i think.

But as Justin says i've hard a few bad things about Wallace, so stayed clear and went to Turra Tyres Instead as i've had no problems ith them in the past with stainless systems on my others cars.

Infact a decatted powerflow system and Bmc Induction Kit i had on my last car, which was a 2000 Polo Gti (with 125bhp as standard) responded well to the exhaust and filter and made 138 bhp (Dunno why it was a 13bhp increase or if it had something with the VVTi)





But hey its all down to personal choice
