advise on air feed needed

Hi all, I have a Viper fitted on my 182 and i'm trying to run the air feed to the front grill. Part of the old intake has a valve of some kind and i'm not sure if i should remove it or not. what have others done or recommend.

On fitting the viper you can remove all parts of the old air filter and casing etc , all you'll have then is the viper with the caf going down to the bottom .

never even knew about that! i might take mine off. it an easy job? does the bumper need to come off or just the wheel arch?
