Civic site is too slow, so gonna ask on here!

ought a catback off a member on CTRO. Had an absolute NIGHTMARE fitting it.

Finally got it on and could hear a slight rattle.

Also noticed loads of fibreglass type shi.te on my boot after driving in the rain??

Then today a tube of mesh type stuff was sticking out the backbox?!?!

What's that all about?!!?

Do I just get this mesh thing out? Don't want it to get trapped in the box itself and rattle like frig.

That 'mesh' is called perforated tube, it's purpose is to allow the exhaust gasses passing through the back box to penetrate through the perf into the fiberglass wadding, thus acting as a sound damper.
In your case the perf has come loose due to either; the weld fracturing, as there normally only tack weld in place or someone has pushed a tube too far up the inlet pipe dislodging the perf.
depending on the type of backbox, you maybe able to repack the wadding

If it's less than 150 I'll get it done. Absolute pain in the ass this system
