Aftermarket replacement radiators?

I’m after a Clio 172 ph1 replacement coolant radiator, I’ve read the nissen ones are pretty good, ECP are listing them for £50 but I’m always sceptical with what they send out and if it will fit..

Has anyone ordered one from them? I’m aware that there is a slight difference between the 172s with and without air con, obviously the ph1 has AC.

Can anyone help?

Nissens and Valeo will be the supplier for most car manufacturers. I know Nissens supply the S3 8P one I fitted to the Skoda.

Nissan one's fit ok, just remember to keep the nuts to mount the fan off your old rad.

I used this one to replace the one on my 172 with aircon, worked out fine. just had to buy a plug to fit in the middle hole (i think its for a temperature sensor? )

Yeahthats correct. The 182 uses a temp sensor in the rad iirc

Total Renault really, make stupid changes for very little reason.

Just like the Cup hubs, for some reason it was decided the 182 ones needed to be different from the rest.
I can't remember any great number of hub failures to make such a change?

According to the Valeo website, that’s the correct part number. Surely if it fits a 172 it’ll fit a 182?

I selected the 182 on their website which suggests to me they have superseded 2 part numbers for this one to save on costs.

My 182 didn't have a temp sensor on the rad. Just in the usual place next to the thermostat housing

I remember having to buy a bung for the hole.

I assume the same rad probably fits another car which does use a sensor there

Sorry to revive an old thread guys but rather than start a new one it seems better to keep the forum a little tidier.

Will this Nissens 63855A go onto a PH2 172 with AC? If I get the Valeo instead what would be needed to bung the temp sens hole which wont be required?

Model number of nissens rad seems to match but when entering vehicle on eBay it says it wont fit.

If it’s any use, I’ve just fitted the Nissen 63855A into my 182 with AC.
Also said on eBay that it wouldn’t fit my vehicle. I can confirm it’s perfect.

The Nissens 63855A went straight into my ph2 172 Monaco blue Clio with A/C

they are a very good fit and cheap enough if you hunt around. I bought two tailend of last year and they where around £42/46 each.

Cheers both, im finding them for around £50 on eBay at the minute inc postage.

Interested in the valeo one but when throwing in the price of blocking the temp sensor hole which isn't needed im thinking its more faffing for not much of a saving.

Plus for some strange reason ive always wanted a Nissens rad since i first had the car haha

Managed to get a Nissens 63855A on eBay for £35 all in still packaged and everything, guys selling off stock from a parts supplier that has closed down due to coronavirus (apparently)

Always dubious about buying from casual sellers on eBay and not registered businesses but will hopefully go smoothly.

I had the 1 and only 1 that he had, although I am suspicious that it isn't going to be a Nissens one and has simply been listen with the nissens code in the title.

Either way it was the cheapest radiator I could find and im trying to get car back on road on a fairly low budget so it was kind of a risk worth taking.

Yes will do mate, hopefully with me start of next week. Also bought a new radiator. I thought whilst the front of the Trophy is stripped I will go for it
