Welcome to renault. If the car cannot be fixed the AA should provide you with a car for 1 day to use free. After that its up to renault...

Welcome to Renault..

thanks for the welcome.. there are so many users on this forum compared to da clublupo forum.. that was my old car btw a lupo gti

well, its under warranty anyway but will use my girlfriends corsa for now lol

  Shhh
Renault can fix anything, just what else they damage in the process is the the problem.

Inspect the car before the AA man takes it away..

The temperature sensor wiring is dodgy.

Renault will try to replace the sensor - which fixes the problem temporarily (because the wiring gets wiggled while they replace the sensor).

Best thing to do is:

Get your hand down there and give the wiring a good-wiggle yourself!

It's located on the side of the engine (passenger side), so stand leaning against the passenger side wing and look for this baby towards your right, halfway down the engine:

The metal end will be screwed into the engine.

Plugged into the rear, will be a female plug with wires coming out of it.

Remove this (just pulls-off), and try to free-up the wiring as much as possible (removing any folds etc...).

Re-fit, and see if that works.

Not hijacking, but I was told by bloke at AA who looked at mine when immobiliser seemed to have a problem was that if its within mile of home, then no car, and its also if they can get you one, so it isn't guaranteed that they can give you a car either! Luckily my car restarted after the AA bloke did some fiddling and even he couldn't answer what had caused the problem and how he had 'fixed' it!!! (At least he was honest!)

For the love of god please stop the text talk. It is not easier and makes people sound dim.

my sisters 1.2 clio (52 plate) died too, seemed like the batt was dead but nothing had been left on, it wouldnt 'jump' off either. AA man came, tested the battery and it seemed to be in good condition, checked the car and it didnt have any power drain from the battery so no wring fault caused it, it wouldnt start for hours, so he was filling his paperwork in and getting ready to go, decided to try it one last time and it started. he didnt have a clue what was wrong and doesnt know how he fixed it.

french crap for you.
