Air bag in side of seat gone off - door side

If its gone off can i just get an air bag from any mk1 or mk2 clio sport and fit it in the side then just stich it up? What else do I need?

Get a new seat will be cheaper and the airbag ecu needs reset

It won't need to be a sport model, any side airbag will do although I don't think they came on mk2 ph1 models apart from the 172's so your best bet will be any mk2 ph2 2001 onwards

Official line is to replace the airbag computer (not the ecu) which isn't hard but it about £300+ as you can only get them from renault and then it needs coding to your car.

The cheapest and best option is to send it to germany to have it reset, its £60.

Also just replace the seat as its easier and when the airbag detonates it deforms the seat frame.
