Air con compressor

How easy is it to remove the aircon compressor on a Phase II clio sport? I don't think just a shorter belt will work.

When I sais remove I mean't for good, Using the car for rally and want to remove the aircon compressor, any ideas...

get the mounting bracket from a 172 cup, swop over the bits.

Removeing the setup won't be difficult realy the fixing of the AUX belt will be a little more toublesome.

In he rallying are youi able to run electric coolent pumps as this is one option remove the coolent pump replace with an electric one then measure what size aux belt will fit he remaining tensiosner etc you have and go to halfords etc and buy a belt of that size.

Or as Mike said Cup mounting bracket.

or remove the PAS, (use an electric rack) coolent pump as well and remove that drag from the engine.

Mike which bits do I need from the 172 cup? I am in Australia and all the cup's came out with A/C (I think). Were there cup's in the UK without A/C and a dummy pulley in place of the A/C compressor?
